America will remember May 7,2005.
We finally got a Turkey. After laying on our bellies for an hour and watching
2 males strut for a female we finally bagged a 17 lb gobbler. We also got
real close to a bear earlier in the day. We celebrated with a couple cold
beers and a burger at Gyp's, a local hunters hangout.

Name
2004 Duck Season
As of November 1, Joe and I have a grand total of ZERO wood ducks
despite many outings in the swamp at Black River WMA in Chester NJ.
We've fired a few shots and we see ducks we are just having a hard time
luring them to our spread.
We made one trip to the meadowlands in early October and got 5 teals.
We will definitely be going back there more often later in the season.
UPDATE: A strong finish to the season as we added to the
Meadowlands Teal count and also went down to Raritan Bay where we got
a some Bluebills and a couple Buffleheads. I have a Bufflehead
at the Taxidermist. Joe ended up getting the only Wood Duck at
the swamp, but we're looking forward to next year out there.
