Libby, Montana - Kootenai River

We fished the Kootenai (koot - nee) River in extreme northwest Montana for three days (Sept 18-20).  The river slices through the mountains in northwest Montana originating in Canada and leaving Montana in Idaho.  Over the three days we fished most of the 35 mile stretch of the river in Montana except the Kootenai falls and canyon area.  Pictures of the falls are at the end.   We caught almost 90 fish ranging in size from 7 to 17 inches and they were all Rainbow trout.  Great people + great scenery + good food + no TV + no cell phones + new experiences = Great vacation.  Enjoy the pictures.

Sept 18 - Let the Fishing Begin
